Description
Sheila Brachfeld is an artist and educator whose work has been shown in her native Colorado as well as internationally and is in many private collections. She holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Denver. Her mask, "Breathing" portrays multiple concepts of the human experience - fearlessness, connectivity to that which is smaller than ourselves, plus the many layers through a single vantage point - fluidity, boundless existence, intrinsic knowledge and the ancient Latin and Greek definitions of education and psyche. Latin "educare" is defined to draw out, while Greek "psyche" is the concept of a person's identity as a symphony of soul, self and mind.
