Susan Johnson of Lakewood, Colo., grew up as a Navy Junior, moving with her family from place to place. She graduated from Michigan State and settled in the Washington Suburban area for a few years before moving to Colorado. After retiring from a career in the Bell System, she began exploring her creative side using all sorts of media. Her mask is painted in a metallic stainless steel color and was inspired by a person with tattoos all over his face. She chose a wallpaper pattern for the "tattoo" and embellished it with rhinestones.
