Description

Boulder native Tracy Hines was born to an artist and mathematician so she has a nice blend of the left brain and the right brain working together as she works as an analyst at The Denver Hospice. "My mom would trade her paintings to get me into art classes as a child," she says. "I threw my first clay at age 10 and have been hooked into the world of Fired Arts since then!" She works in glass, clay and silver. Her mask cracked in the kiln during firing. "I was broken-hearted and could not see past the broken pieces. With the help of Jessica Stockmyer and her vision to frame the broken mask, it was completed. She loved how it symbolized how "We are all a little broken, yet still beautiful."
