Description

Stefan Krusze grew up in the Lakewood-Denver area, carrying a camera since he was 11. His first camera belonged to a cousin who was executed by the Soviets and was given to him by his great-aunt. Subsequently, his parents advanced his curiosity of Photography by helping obtain anything from a Kodak Instamatic X-15 to a Leica M3. He graduated from DU with a degree in chemistry, worked as an analytical chemist and raced bicycles competitively for nearly 20 years on both the Velodrome and road eventually competing in the Pro 1-2 category. He heeded his friends' and journalism professor's advice and become a photojournalist, now photographing for the Denver Herald Dispatch, Greenwood Villager and Colorado Expression Magazine and freelances for The Denver Post was published in American Photo. He has exhibited widely in galleries and won several awards.
