Dr. Peter Hotez, Distinguished Research Professor and the Walter G. Ross Professor and Chair of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Tropical Medicine, invites you and 2 friends to dinner. Dr. Hotez's major research and academic interest is in the area of vaccine development for neglected tropical diseases and their control. Dr. Hotez is also the President of the Sabin Vaccine Institute, a non-profit medical research and advocacy organization. Through the Institute, Dr. Hotez founded the Human Hookworm Vaccine Initiative. You will leave the dinner with inspiration, a full belly of fantastic Indian food (not worms), and an autographed copy of "Forgotten People, Forgotten Diseases: The Neglected Tropical Diseases and Their Impact on Global Health and Development" by Dr. Hotez. Dinner to take place on a mutually agreeable date.
