Description

Meet “Woodroe”!  Inspired by renowned Wisconsin artist Dennis Pearson, who sculpted the first "Beastie" in the 1960's, this delightful papier mache sculpture was created by Danville artist Francine Garcia and enthusiastically painted by Mrs. Christman's students.  Woodroe stands approximately 4 feet high and he’s fully-loaded with charm and personality.  Designed for indoor display but equally at home on a porch or nestled in the garden, the finished piece has been glazed with resin for water-resistance.  Original Beasties have a worldwide market and sell for tens of thousands of dollars.  Some lucky owner will gain a wonderful conversation piece – and a life-long friend!

Special thanks to Francine Garcia for creating Woodroe.
