Enjoy a Babcock 2007 Syrah "Nook and Cranny

This year’s NOOK & CRANNY is chock-full of fruit and its signature white pepper spice in the nose. There’s also a bit of sandal wood and an almost pie doughy quality to it. In the mouth, it’s like drinking chocolaty, blackberry nectar that is balanced nicely by its ripe tannins. It’s definitely another good one.

Babcock 2008 Pinot Noir "Deja Vu"

Very interesting New World pinot noir - heavy on the spicy fruit, this was very similar to a Carneros pinot to us both. Long finish of cherry cola, plum, very dark cherries, and some rocky terroir. The color was light, but the flavor profile was rich and dark. Not as much my style as it used to be a year or so ago, but an enjoyable wine overall, and fully ready to drink now with some air time.
