Maple Tree Camp, also known as The Treehouse Camp is located on 20 acres of woodland on South Mountain and offers a peaceful place to "get away from it all." The campsite is an hour away from D.C. and an hour and a half from Baltimore. Six miles away is river rafting, tubing, canoeing, fishing, horse-back riding, biking on the C&O canal, and it's a 10 minute walk to the Appalachian trail. Maple Tree Camp has primitive tree houses, cottages with wood stoves (4 older, re-modeled ones and 4 brand new ones), and secluded wooded tent sites. Each site has a picnic table, grill, and stone fire circle. The bathrooms have been recently re-modeled and there are hot, outdoor showers. Worried you might forget something?
