This lined handbag, 11" deep, with 8" diameter  round  wooden handles, is from Sunbula, www.sunbula.org, a  nonprofit fair trade organization that supports economic self-help of Palestinian artisans through the promotion of traditional  handicrafts.

It was created by  the Haneen Project, a new initiative established as as a result of Sunbula's product development training which was held in early 2007 in Balata refugee camp near the cty of Nablus. A group of women who received the training formed an independent income-generating project to support their famlies. .
