History of Calvin Klein: In 1968 Calvin Klein founded Calvin Klein Ltd. with $10,000 in a coat shop in the York Hotel in New York City. This is a true success story. Coats for men and women was the first Calvin Klein collection featured at the New York City store. By 1971, sportswear, classic blazers, as well as lingerie were added to his women's collection portfolio. By 1977, annual revenues had jumped to $30 million, and he had licenses for scarves, shoes, belts, furs, sunglasses, and sheets. Calvin Klein was named "America's Best Designer" for his minimalist all-American designs.
Today Calvin Klein can be found all over the world and throughout all the different department stores in the US.
