Born in 1958, Glen Wesley made a name for himself in the world of professional hockey. Beginning his professional career in 1987 when he was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the NHL Entry Draft, Wesley primarily played defense for the next two decades. Wesley played with the Carolina Hurricanes, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Hartford Whalers, and the Boston Bruins before he retired from the National Hockey League in 2008. During his extensive career, Wesley was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 1988, played in an NHL All-Star Game in 1989, and was a member of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006, helping them win the Stanley Cup. The Hurricanes retired his jersey (#2) in 2009.
