The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Santuary

There are always many things to do, see and experience at the Heard. The sanctuary, nature trails, native plant garden, education department, exhibits and collections, nature store and rental facilities provide visitors with an array of services and exciting activities. Some top sites include 6.5 miles of natural hiking trails, the Native Plant Garden's wondrous display of trees, shrubs, grasses, vines, ground covers and perennials native to the Lone Star State, and the Heard's indoor exhibits which provide an interactive environment in which visitors can discover, enjoy and experience various aspects of the Texas natural environment.
