The basket is a handcrafted Longaberger basket.  Like all their baskets, it is proudly handmade in the USA with solid maple double upsplints, then signed and dated by the basket maker. Grandma Bonnie's pie plate is made from vitrified china.  As a result it is extremely durable (microwave, freezer, oven and dishwasher safe and crack resistant).  It's the best pie plate you'll ever own.
