Description

This one-of-a-kind purse is made from our sewing pattern, "Perfect Purse" found at http://www.gandbpatterns.com. The body of the purse is a faux suede. The pockets and band are batik. The pocket and band were made using oriental folding techniques called "chopkey," which is Korean for "folding." In addition to two exterior pockets, it has interior pockets, including a zipper pocket.


About the Artist:Georgianne Kandler is a retired businesswoman who lives with her husband, Bill, on the Central Coast of California. Since her retirement, she spends much of her time working with textiles. She makes both traditional and art quilts which have been shown at art exhibitions and quilt shows including International Quilt Festival, California Heritage Museum, Avenue 50 Studio, SLO Art Center and Tim’s Art Quilt Studio.
