Description

This darling bag is equally perfect for window shopping along Union Street or browsing your favorite farmer’s market.  The technique used on this bag is called channel quilting.  It is embellished with Asian-inspired folded inserts, “crystal” beads, and a red flounce.   


About the Artist: Georgianne Kandler is a retired businesswoman who lives with her husband, Bill,on the Central Coast of California. Since her retirement, she spends much of her time working with textiles. She makes both traditional and art quilts which have been shown at art exhibitions and quilt shows including International Quilt Festival, California Heritage Museum, Avenue 50 Studio, SLO Art Center and Tim’s Art Quilt Studio.  You can find sewing patterns for her own purse designs at http://www.gandbpatterns.com.
