http://www.lucidls.com/
Conway Chang is the principal of LUCID Land Studio, San Francisco. He holds an MLA with distinction from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, and he is a recipient of the Norman T. Newton Prize for Exemplary Achievement in Design Expression.
He embarked on a journey into landscape architecture inspired by the calling of Olmsted, for the production of landscape "to answer the needs and give expression to the life of our immense and miscellaneous democracy".
Prior to founding LUCID Land Studio, he worked for four and half years at Peter Walker and Partners, participating in public and institutional planning and design projects, as well as large private estate design. His deep knowledge of plant materials, ecosystem awareness, and focus on sustainability contributed to the strong ecological conceptualization and design for projects, including Newport Beach City Hall, San Francisco Transbay Terminal Competition, Pixar Animation Studios, University of Texas at Dallas Campus, Knight School of Business Management Stanford University, World Trade Center Memorial New York, Glenstone Museum, Potomac, Maryland, and 6D Ranch and Hilltop Estate, Austin, Texas.
Conway Chang also teaches Landscape Design Studio at the University of California Berkeley Extension Landscape Architecture program and is a design critic for the University of California Berkeley Architecture Studio. He participated in the Garden in the City Competition, Singapore and his work has been exhibited at the Van Alen Institute, New York (2004), Private Plots and Public Spots, Austria (2008), University of Berkeley Extension Downtown Center (2009) and upcoming "the Late Garden Show" at Cornerstone, California.
