Description

Deutsch Pomologie was a German publication, composed of studies of fruit, published in the late 19th Century. This page shows the "Williams Christbirn", taking its name from an early British gardener. Here in North America, we know it as the Bartlett pear. This print's dimensions are 5 ½" x 8 ¼'. In mint condition and matted in museum board, the overall size is 14" x 16" in a gold wood frame with design. It was donated by Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI.
