Description

In his 1860 work on Persian mythology, Sir Thomas Moore tells the story of the Peri, banished from Paradise, and her attempts to gain readmittance. This rotogravure print from 1902, titled "The Peri at Heaven's Gate", shows the name "Kurtz" in the lower-right corner. This print is in mint condition and measures 4 ½" x 9". Matted in museum board in a silver wood frame, its overall dimensions are 16" x 14". It was donated to Rhode Island PBS by Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI.
