This collection of three Brownell ever-blooming pillar rose bushes and book are from Rose Solutions of Riverside. It’s a landscape consulting company offering educational programs and consulting services on rose horticulture.

These roses were originally hybridized here in Rhode Island in the 1940s and ‘50s. Called Rhode Island Red, White Cap and Golden Arctic, they’re winter-hardy, stunning, and available for pickup at Rose Solutions. Owners Mike and Angelina Chute’s new book, “Roses for New England”, specifically addresses the challenges and merits of raising roses in New England – a first!
