Three reading tutoring sessions from certified reading specialist Chris Mandel. Chris has an M.Ed. in Reading Education, and a B.A. in English, summa cum laude. She has been trained in 3 phonics methods: Phono-Graphix, Lindamood, and Orton Gillingham. Chris works with beginning readers, remedial readers, and special needs students (without severe behavior problems). 

The first session is an assessment of your child’s phonemic awareness and phonics skills. The next two sessions are lessons based on the results of that assessment. These lessons are ONLY suitable for children age 4 and up who read at OR BELOW a second grade level. For 4- and 5-year-olds, an extra reading lesson for the assessment could be substituted.
