This item offers three, 45-minute math tutoring sessions from math specialist Chris Mandel. The first session is an assessment of your child’s math skills. The next two sessions are lessons based on the results of the assessment. These lessons are only suitable for children ages 5 to 7 who are in kindergarten or first grade, and who are at/or below grade level in math. The lessons are fun and child-friendly and include lots of games and toys.

Chris uses a well-researched, effective math program called SRA Number Worlds, which had a very favorable write-up in the New York Times education section. Formerly, Chris worked as a reading tutor with “The Learning Lab at Lesley College.

Chris has an M.Ed. in Reading Education, and a B.A. in English, summa cum laude.
