Want to turn your child's love of video games into an educational experience? No, it's not a trick question, it's CREATECH. Founded by RVSD parents and educators, Creatch is offered to children aged 8 to 14 to foster stronger critical thinking skills by using creative technologies to support and educate them. The summer sessions are designed to teach children to program their own video games (and draw their own characters!); to design, develop, create & animate their own stop motion movie; to explore the world of art & design by creating their own virtual products, packaging & marketing; and to be a music producer by creating their own tracks, album art, & more. And don't worry, there is plenty of outdoor fun time worked into each day. You may choose any four weeks that work best for your summer schedule. By each week's end, your child will have produced a DVD of their project, and you will be amazed at their results!
