The Milano Family Winery is located in Mendocino County near the town of Hopland. Founded in 1977, it is a family operation with deep historical roots in the Hopland wine growing area. Strong relationships with local growers enables winemaker Deanna Starr to purchase select grapes grown in rugged Mendocino County that she consistently turns into award-winning wines.
2004 Hidden Hawk Cabernet – from Hidden Hawk Vineyards. Mendocino benchland fruit. Deep color with vanilla, spice and pomegranate on the nose.
2004 Hopland Cuvee – Gold medal winner at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Silver at Orange County Wine Society. A hearty blend of Cabernet (50%), Syrah (30%), Merlot (20%).
2004 Petit Verdot – Fruit from Bells Echo Vineyards. Silver medal at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Good structure with smoke and oak with the bright fruit.
