Robert Raikes is one of the United States’ most accomplished wood carvers and furniture makers.  Raikes hand carves each doll he makes and commissions three seamstresses to sew their intricate outfits.  The prototype dolls are then manufactured in China, in limited quantities and under stringent quality control.

Kristy, dressed in a beautiful off-white christening dress that reaches 5 inches below her feet, has off-white plush fur.  Her face and feet are made of wood. Kristy wears a lace-covered bonnet.
