Description
Annapolis artist, Jennifer Burnette, created this wallhanging entitled "Southwest" using multiple techniques and materials. The terra colored handpainted muslin in this work evokes the Grand Canyon. The sky and water are made of handpainted felt, and the latter is embroidered with metallic silver and cotton threads. Along the sides the artist has individually stitched down shell and foam (lightweight) turquoise beads on hemp and used ceramic bird fetishes here and there. Other materials are seed beads around the entire border, ribbon and rattan.
Dimensions are 12 1/4" long X 12" wide.
This is a Live Event Item.
