This set was designed and created by artisan Carlos Rojas of Lima, Peru. Carlos, who prefers to work only in silver, is one of  the premier "Plateros" in Peru. He is constantly creating new designs to keep ahead of others who live by copying his work.

The pendant & earrings, as with many pieces from Peru, have Peruvian culture in the design.  The circular swirl is called "el mono" or the monkey. This design is based on the Lines of Nazca drawings in the desert.  It is made of 95% pure silver - more than sterling silver which is 92.5% pure silver.
