Description

1 Flamenco Guitar, with case
Made in Spain by
Juan Montes Rodriguez

Locals Only Host Dr. Dan donated this Flamenco Guitar to KXCI's Start Your Summer Auction in an effort to help lighten his load, to help KXCI, and to pass along an amazing hand crafted guitar to a discerning buyer.  Kevin Pakulis stopped by the studio the other day and noticed the guitar. He tuned it up and played one of his new songs and KXCI can testify that the guitar sounds good.

KXCI was trying to research more about the guitar and we discovered this statement by guitar maker Juan Montes Rodriguez:

I was born February 18, 1957 in small town at the South of Andalucia, called Puebla de Guzman, also known as "Huelva", in Spain.

At age 14, I went to Valencia where I discovered my passion for guitar construction.  That is when my work began, I worked at a workshop for musical instruments called: "La Escuela de V. Tatay".  I learned the basic techniques for these instruments.  By age 25, I was ready to open my own business " Azahar "and, it has been over 30 years of involvement in this craft. I strive very hard to bring the art of guitar making to perfection as well as Lauds and Bandurrias.  As a Luthier, my passion is bringing all my instruments to life.
