Melissa “Missy” May Peirano was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  After graduating from Sewanee with a Math degree, she started her career as an Information Technology professional, painting watercolors as a stress relieving hobby.  After returning to Chattanooga, she decided to explore her artistic side more fully trying different techniques and mediums before settling on her current painting technique using acrylics and palette knives.  Melissa continues to pursue her artistic dreams full time by painting and running Hanover Gallery with her husband.  Melissa says she hopes her happiness with her life and new career are reflected in all of her works. 

 Melissa’s work has been shown in various shows and galleries in the Southeast and can be found locally at Hanover Gallery.
