Oil on Wood Panel 2009. Born and educated in Northern Ireland, James Kennedy has been a resident of the US since 2003. Many of you may be famialiar with his work as an actor, he appeared as Gar Private in the Irish Repertory's acclaimed production of "Philadelphia Here I Come." Raised on a farm in the picturesque ‘Ards Peninsula,” he absorbed its unique light and landscape from an early age, a memorized geographic that would play a central role in the composition of his formative works. He paints from his studios in East Hampton and Manhattan and is represented nationally and internationally.
