The vast majority of Hamanasi's employees come from the surrounding communities and receive professional training. The income they earn and the skills they learn help their families and villages.

Giving Back: Hamanasi and its guests interact with and give back to the local Hopkin’s Village in many ways - by having Garifuna dancers and drummers perform at Hamanasi, supporting a teacher’s aid, donating items to the health clinic, and providing funding to help local projects (e.g. building a playground). Hamanasi has assisted a number of locals in learning to dive, many of whom now are employed as dive masters throughout the country.

All TIES ecoAuction items are valid for one year (excluding the blackout dates noted in the item description) unless otherwise stated above. The winner will receive contact details of the trip provider(s) to make travel arrangements.

All proceeds raised from your purchase of this trip will go directly to The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) to support their numerous projects in support of responsible travel worldwide.
