On June 14th Cliff Chamberlin was transported to Denver to undergo major surgery on June 17 & again on June 21st for bilateral first rib resections and subclavian artery dissection, in an attempt to relieve his brachial plexus entrapment, realignment of the aorta valve and to repair the carotid arteries which caused a backup of blood within his head impeding his vision, hearing and balance. The surgery was successful and Cliff returned home on June 30th. Currently his arms are immobilized and his recovery is expected to be between 6 to 9 months. In addition he faces additional surgery for a herniated disc within his neck and back.
Cliff has been receiving assistance from the Pegasus Project, but will soon reach the lifetime maximum distribution of $5,000.00. Pegasus has set up a specific grant allocation for Cliff which allows individuals to make donations that will go directly to Cliff through Pegasus. The donors receive a tax deduction and Cliff will continue to receive financial support while he recuperates from his illness.
