NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY - January 12- January 30, 2011

Book, music and lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen

Based on William Goldman’s novel and film

No Way to Treat a Lady is a musical comedy thriller about a publicity-crazed actor-turned-killer and the down and out, yet charming detective who pursues him. Based on the best-selling novel by William Goldman that became a renowned 1968 movie, it’s a wicked blend of humor, romance and murder that won the Richard Rodgers grant in 1987. An exciting musical presented in film noir style with the audience in on the crime, watching the pieces of the puzzle slowly come together as the detective solves the case.

“TERRIFIC! HILARIOUS! DYNAMIC! An unabashedly histrionic romp with plenty of laughs, a fair share of romance and a welcome abundance of drollery.”

– L.A. Times

“A fine way to treat a musical! A real winner.”

– New York Post

AVENUE Q  - February 23 - March 20, 2011

Music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx

Book by Jeff Whitty

Based on an Original Concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx

Avenue Q is the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. He soon discovers that the only neighborhood in his price range is Avenue Q; still, the neighbors seem nice. There’s Brian, the out-of-work comedian and his therapist fiancée, Christmas Eve; Nicky the goodhearted slacker and his roommate Rod – a Republican investment banker who seems to have some sort of secret; an Internet addict called Trekkie Monster; and a very cute kindergarten teaching assistant named Kate. Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
