Randomly Connected is a handmade book by artist and SAR parent Elise Wiener. It is about a series of epiphanies that are loosely connected in that they derive from emotions and are driven by the mind. As guiding principles, they become intuitive limiters and motivators of our own self-interest.

Elise Wiener works in a variety of mediums relating to book arts including sewing, papermaking, printmaking painting and graphic design.
Self-expression, self-involvement, and self-mockery often provide the content for her books. In them, she hints at realizations that seem idiosyncratic but touch on larger truths. Words and images flesh out subtle realities suppressed by public personas. They prod at the underbelly of what we feel yet do not say or even sometimes, what we dare not admit to ourselves.
