The winner will receive a complete outfitting at Gunflint Northwoods Outfitters for a 2-night, 3-day trip during the 2011 season for two people ages 12 or older.

The outfitting includes:

• An Old Town Canoe


• Eureka tent


• Therm-A-Rest sleeping pads


• full zipper sleeping bags


• all cook gear


• gas stove if desired


• sierra style cups


• first aid kit


• all food


• all maps


• trip orientation


• transportation to and from the appropriate landings


• car parking during your trip


• free overnight accomodations before and after your trip in a rustic bunk cabin.

When you stay with Gunflint Northwoods Outfitters, you might be interested in having your meals in the lodge dining room before and after your trip.  Gunflint Lodge has a super chef and dinners are a real treat - there are 5 entrees to choose from each evening that our head chef prepares.  They also have a bar/bistro with cold libation and lighter dinner choices.  Breakfasts and lunches are offered from a complete menu and are big and hearty. Canoeists have this extra opportunity to treat themselves to something special coming and going since they are affiliated with Gunflint Lodge and their dining room.  It is apppropriate to make a lodge dinner reservation in advance if you choose to join them for an evening meal.  Gunflint Lodge meals are not included in the outfitting rates.

The winner also receives a guide for the duration of the trip to help direct you through the wonders of the Boundary Waters.
