Description
Offered for your consideration is a portfolio of coins, currency and stamps assembled and issued by the Postal Commemorative Society. Within this collection there are a number of historically interesting elements that represent significant events that helped to shape the founding of the United States of America.
Beginning with the commemorative stamp, featuring the Liberty Bell, issued in 1926 as part of the 150th anniversary celebration, the collection includes:
- Stamps issued in 1976 featuring depictions of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
- Stamps post marked from July 4th 2001 in celebration fo the country's 225th anniversary.
- Three coins (one dollar, half dollar and quarter dollar) issued in 1976 as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary and each coin features specially designed reverses that depict scenes of freedom.
- A $2 note issued in 1976 who's reverse has a sweeping illustration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence by our Founding Fathers of the Continental Congress.
