This is a set owned by John Magnus, Former NAPP Board Member.  John sold meats for many years for a top meat wholesaler...Pfaelzer Brothers.   He was often called upon to carve meats at large social events.  One of his stories was of having cooked and carved an entire Greek-roasted lamb, and when he was finished, there was none left for himself.

This professional carving set continues to be sold by 'Connoisseur by Dexter', through restaurant supply houses. One site writes:  "Dexter Russell, a leader in the world of culinary cutlery, can now make its way into your kitchen. Whether for residential or commercial use, Dexter Russell knives are sure to last longer than the average knife."   A set new is listed retail at $250, but suppliers offer them ranging from $133 to $194, plus shipping of course.
