| A beauty destination in South Florida, Sean Donaldson Hair combines the service and technical expertise of a bespoke European hair salon with the finest in contemporary design. The salon is decorated with antique silver leaf wallpaper with faux crocodile accents. The reception area, desk, salon doors and mirror backs are created from Afromosia, an exotic, sustainable wood. The concrete fiber slab floors provide an unexpected counterpoint to the luxurious wallpaper and wood treatments. The salon stations were designed to evoke a post-modern dressing table with a full-length mirror. Salon chairs are in a soft grey faux-leather finish with aluminum foot and arm rests. The custom-made salon carts are modeled on steamer trunks – totally portable units that can be taken from point to point. An open plan color bar allows clients to witness the alchemy of color formulations in a manner that both intrigues and inspires clients to experiment with their own color. One of the most unique features of the salon - the shampoo - cube is a private room, surrounded by clear plexiglas. Dim lighting and soft ambient music create the perfect environment for clients to enjoy complementary Shirodhara-inspired shampoo and conditioning treatments, The manicure and pedicure lounge is tucked away in a relaxing and secluded room. It features plumbed-in chairs, faux-leather finishes and warm lighting to create a feeling of escapism. The salon's single treatment room - The Facial Den - appeals to all the senses with custom-made furnishings, soft tan wall treatments and a gold leaf ceiling to aide in physical relaxation and help soothe the senses. Lilac orchids positioned throughout the salon add a splash of tropical color to the salons warm and metal toned palette. |
