Mallet has been a newspaper journalist for over 20 years. Before coming to Cleveland, she served as a reporter for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. As a columnist for the Plain Dealer, she received The Ohio Excellence in Journalism Award in 1997.
Mallet is the author of two books: The Notion of Family, a collection of the personal columns published in the Plain Dealer and Tevye’s Grandchildren: Rediscovering a Jewish Identity.
