The lucky high bidder will receive a $100 Certificate to use toward tickets for the 2011 Competition, July 27-August 7, 2011, plus receive a CD of the performances of the 2007 laureates.

Founded in 1975, the biennial Cleveland International Piano Competition attracts more than 200 talented applicants from around the world.

The competition is held over a 10-day period that begins with the candidates performing solo recitals for the audience as well as an esteemed international panel of judges. Candidates are eliminated by vote of the jury until four finalists remain.

These talented individuals perform concertos with the Cleveland Orchestra to determine the winner. The final rounds are held over a two-night period (two candidates each night) at Severance Hall. The winner is announced following the final performance.
