The pond, built in 1840. covers approximately 40 acres. The secluded cabin has one bedroom with three beds (one double and two single), a large living/dining room, bath, kitchen, two porches, central heat and air, and furnished linens. A long pier weaves out into the pond between cypress trees. Two wooden John boats are available in the boathouse. The cabin is four miles from Laurinburg. NC.
 
The cabin is generally available from December 2010 through November 2011, but the best seasons are spring or fall. Arrangements must be made with owner at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance, but should be made as soon as possible to ensure availability.
