2-hour Horseback Riding/Horse Care Lesson

Item Number: 192
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Come have fun horseback riding and learning about natural horse care at a beautiful, relaxed farm in northern Chapel Hill. The riding portion of the lesson will be suited for a beginner or beginner-intermediate (walk or walk-trot only), Western or English. No experience required! The lesson will also include grooming, and learning about horse care, health and behavior. A ground-only/no riding lesson is an option if preferred. Adults or kids welcome (up to four kids may attend-- ages 4 and up for ground-only, and ages 7 and up for riding). All equipment, including safety helmet, is provided.
Horses at the farm live freely on 40 acres of woods and pasture in a mixed herd, so there is ample opportunity to observe, interact, and learn about them in a natural setting. Information on pasture management and environmental conservation practices related to horse farms can also be offered if interested.
Instructor has over fifteen years of experience teaching beginner to advanced horseback riding lessons in various disciplines.
