Description

Unwind in the splendor of the Great Smoky Mountains with this vacation package that includes a 3-night stay at the secluded Academy at South Fork, and two tickets to the famed Biltmore House.

Built in 1915, the Academy at South Fork is a two-room log-cabin that has been lovingly restored into a 2 bedroom/2 bath vacation retreat.  While the collectible antiques that decorate the cabin give you a glimpse into days long past, the gas fireplace, satellite TV and full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave provide all the modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable.

Located just 2 1/2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway and 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, you'll have dozens of restaurants and area attractions within easy driving distance.  Like the Biltmore House, which you can enjoy with the two tickets included with this package.

George Vanderbilt envisioned Biltmore in 1888 while visiting Asheville and built the 8,000-acre estate over the next 6 years, opening it on Christmas Eve 1895.  It features 250 rooms, 65 fireplaces and a basement with a swimming pool and bowling alley.

Today, Biltmore is one of the nation's most significant National Historic Landmarks.  The more than one million visitors a year the estate attracts attest to its grandeur and the beauty of its surrounding gardens.

This is a Live Event Item.
