Welcome to the Bear Mountain Inn, a spectacular four-season lakefront bed and breakfast resort nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains. The dramatic 25-acre property in Waterford, Maine offers the charm of a country inn, with the breathtaking natural beauty of the lakes and mountain region. The historic homestead, surrounded by sprawling lawns and forest, overlooks a private sandy beach, and a large deck with fieldstone fireplace providing splendid vistas of Bear Lake.

The Inn has eleven beautifully decorated rooms including two-bedroom suites, and large luxurious suites with in-room Jacuzzi & fireplace. For those desiring greater privacy, the inn offers two options: a two-story executive post & beam home, which provides ample space and privacy for families or groups, or our dog-friendly, quaint Sugar Bear cottage, both with extraordinary views of Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains.

Our delicious country gourmet breakfasts, featured in Bon Appetite are served in our sunny fireplace dining room; and a jar of homemade cookies is available all day for hungry guests. We pride ourselves on our warmth, hospitality and service.

Enjoy a host of local and regional activities including hiking and walking trails on our property or in the vicinity, canoeing or kayaking right from our docks, swimming from our sandy beach, fishing on Bear Lake, or just relaxing in our Adirondack chairs on the deck listening to the mysterious call of the Loon. Read a book in our rockers on the wrap-around porch, soak in our outdoor hot tub or relax by the fireplace in our cozy gathering room. The possibilities are endless.
