Breaking bread with friends has always been considered one of the highlights of a life well lived. This package takes the fun one step further, as you get to create the meal, together with your friends (or family). Your party of 4 will be students at Chef Michael Ghilarducci's Scuola Rustica at the Depot Restaurant. Here, you will prepare a several course meal and then enjoy this meal paired with the appropriate wines. These classes are always a fun way to enjoy friends, food and wine, while learning a little something new.
WineMaker's Notes
Cline Cellars' Cashmere is a blend consisting of 63% Grenache, 22% Syrah, and 15% Mourvedre. The Grenache portion of this blend comes from Cline's vineyard located in Oakley and is so scarce that we are always amazed that we get any tonnage at all. Fruit is luscious and concentrated. Mourvedre is also from the old vine vineyards in Oakley. Vines are dry-farmed (receiving no irrigation) and planted in deep sandy soil. Syrah comes from the cool Sonoma vineyards which produce concentrated blueberry flavours and dark, rich wines .
