Description
These 95 - 98 point wines are small production, collectible wines which are rarely available on the wine auction market, and are not available through retail vendors. Wine reviews are from Robert Parker, regarded as the premier wine critic.
All wines have been properly stored in a temperature controlled cellar with humidity and climate control since purchase.
(1 bottle) 2002 Bond Vecina Proprietary Red - 95+ points - Value $380.00
Review from 2005: This wine is a primordial, tannic beast with a beef blood-like concentration, a huge, opaque color, and notes of scorched earth, blackberries, chocolate, camphor, roasted meats, and cassis. Give this amazing wine 5-6 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following 20-25 years.
(1 bottle) 2002 Bond Melbury Proprietary Red - 96 points - Value $480.00
Review from 2005: This wine boasts a dense pruple color to the rim along with a sweet perfume of acacia flowers, blueberry pie, licorice, and a hint of hot rocks. A wine of great intensity, tremendous voluptuousness and opulence, fabulous purity, low acidity, and silky tannin, this stunning 2002 can be drunk now and over the next 15-20 years.
(1 bottle) 1998 Harlan Estate Proprietary Red - 95 points - Value $995.00/bottle
Review from 2005: This wine is a spectacular achievement, it boasts and opaque plum/purple color as well as a sumptuous nose of espresso, mineral, blueberry, blackberry, tobacco, licorice, asian spice, and roasted meat smells. In the mouth it is seamless, full-bodied, with an unctuous texture, gorgeously sweet tannin, and layer upon layer of concentration. This is a tour de force in winemaking. Anticipated maturity 2003-2030.
(1 bottle) 1999 Harlan Estate Proprietary Red - 94 points - Value $1,188/bottle
Review from 2009: Very deep garnet black colour going brick at the rim. Complex, maturing nose with notes of warm blackberry, game, dried plums, moss, white pepper, Provence herbs and a whiff of iron ore. The palate reveals a concentrated, medium to full bodied wine balanced by medium acidity and a medium to firm level of velvety tannins. Very long finish, elegant and Bordeaux-like departing with lingering savoury and mineral flavours. Drink now to 2018.
(2 bottles) 2002 Hundred Acre - Kayli Morgan Vineyard Cabernet - 98 points - Value $788.00/bottle
Review from 2005: A seamless wine with extraordinary concentration, a dense purple color, beautifully sweet nose of black cherry liqueur intermixed with cassis, graphite, smoke, and underbrush, it is layered, multi-dimensional, and opulent, with a long 40+ second finish. It has a fine purity as well as overall equilibrium, and a Pomerol-like succulence/lushness. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2018
