Noriko Akiyama Fields continually strives for growth as a painter, printmaker and Ikebana artist. Teaching the art of Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) for many years gave her a love of nature and serves as her inspiration which she translates into her paintings and printmaking.

Landscapes, flowers and water are her favorite subjects and each are approached as a harmonious pattern of shapes and colors, sometimes realistic, sometimes not. She enjoys working with different media and techniques but strives to retain cohesive color balance.
