This backpack is lightweight nylon, has heavy-duty straps and a wide waistband with velcro fastener, for easy adjustment and comfort.  The back is stiff for firm support and comfort.  There are sturdy metal rings attached to the waistband for securing other gear to the pack as well.  It's also water-proof.
