This mixed media work, Rose Island Light -- Pell Bridge, Newport, RI is donated by Newport artist Joseph Matose and it illustrates his love of Rhode Island's City by the Sea. It's a $550 value. Joe created his first painting when he was two -- and kept at it. By high school his work was gaining attention, and he later attended both the University of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island School of Design. His award-winning work has been seen in several galleries and it also illustrates books of poetry penned by the artist himself.
