This is a mid-19th-Century, hand-colored German engraving of fossils, which appears to have once been a page in a picture book. It was donated to Rhode Island PBS by Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI. The print itself measures 9 ¾" x 8 7/8". In mint condition and matted in museum board, overall dimensions are 16" x 14" in a gold wood frame.
