Description

There's room for confusion when you mention the subject of this work by Ann Daum. That's because some of the lighthouses on Cape Cod tend to get around!

This hand-watercolored solar print (one of just seven) depicts the current lighthouse on Nauset Beach in Eastham - a light that was first erected in Chatham in 1877, then moved to its present location in Eastham in 1923. Nearby are the original, three Nauset lights (the "Three Sisters"), which were moved inland when threatened by erosion.

Ann Daum’s works are seen at the Gallery at Caterpillar Hill in Maine and the Bristol Art Museum. She’s a member of the Providence Art Club and the Wickford and Newport Art Associations.
